This privacy statement applies to MyNiche customers and visitors to our website (myniche.org), as well as our client portals (balanced.myniche.org, mom.myniche.org, and baby.myniche.org).

At Stable Isotope Science, Inc., we prioritize the privacy of our customers and visitors. To minimize the risk of any potential information leakage, we do not collect identifiable information except for the email addresses that customers voluntarily provide when signing up for our client portal. We do not intend to collect any additional identifiable or potentially identifiable information from customers and visitors in the foreseeable future.

We do not have, nor will we have, access to a portal user’s password, as it is encrypted by the portal’s builder.

Our payments are processed through Stripe. Our Stripe account collects identifiable information such as names, addresses, email addresses, credit card numbers, and security codes during the payment process. However, we do not access or extract any of this information without the customer’s permission. Any information collected through Stripe must not be associated with a customer’s data collected as part of MyNiche, including hair/nail testing results and nutrition data.

We collect hair or nail samples from customers. We use only the first half-inch of a hair strand or two pieces of nail. If any parts of the samples are not used for isotopic analysis, they are discarded as general residential waste. We never use, sell, or donate the remaining samples. We typically do not store a customer’s sample for more than ten business days before sending it to an outsourcing analysis facility. The storage duration may be extended during the U.S. holiday or vacation seasons.
